Tour tabs help you easily compare your options for driving from and to the cities you selected, with a summary of cities to visit and things to do for each route.

Resources link you to online route maps, printed maps and map books, driving directions and distances for your trip, other driving direction websites, suppliers of route and direction software and systems, car, 4X4, motorcycle and campervan rental companies, bus services, as well as international and domestic flight providers that serve your destination.

In the detailed itinerary for the selected route, we recommend days to spend in each location. Our suggestion reflects your city, activity, and maximum driving distance preferences, and allows you to see and do as much as possible while getting ample rest and relaxation between drives.

The location's eagle rating sums up the average ratings of the activities that the location is known for.

Clicking an accommodations category brings you to a comprehensive listing of places to stay in that location and the top online travel providers for these places. If you selected a must do or want to do activity, you'll also find links to these, even if your choices don't appear in the top 5 things to do for a location.

Clicking one of the things to do under a location brings you to the activities page for that location. Here you'll find links to relevant and specific information for doing the activity in this place, top activity service providers, and links to any upcoming events for the activity.

Clicking on restaurants brings you to a comprehensive listing of restaurants in that location and the top online travel providers for these places and the top online providers of information about these restaurants. After the name of each restaurant, you'll find a low season price under the provider's icon.
